Deep insight into impermanence liberates the heart from panic when circumstances change. Freedom begins where clinging to permanence ends.

Dukakho bālehi sṃvāso

Thai:
“Associating and living with fools is perpetual suffering.”

A fool is not merely an external delinquent but the undisciplined foolish impulses within our own minds. Banishing both secures peace.

Natathi khanadhasamā dukakhā

Thai:
“There is no suffering equal to the burden of the five aggregates.”

Seeing the aggregates as impersonal natural processes frees awareness from identifying with pain, laying down the burden forever.

Anibabinadiyakārisas samamadatatho vipacacati

“Success and full fruition belong to those who act without discouragement.”

Enduring accomplishments are not measured by rapid haste but by unshakeable stamina. Right effort never dissipates fruitlessly.

Diligence & Energy

Payojaye n nibabinade

Thai:
“One should persistently apply effort and never give in to despair.”

Whether in worldly responsibilities or meditation, fatigue arises. Remembering this adage reignites internal fire to overcome self-imposed limits.

“One who utters harmful, deceitful words burns with regret later on.”

A practical filter for every sentence: Is it true? Is it helpful? Is it timely? Does it wound anyone? Right Speech purifies the communal space.

Merit & Goodness

Puñañṃ corehi dūharṃ

Thai:
