Genuine Happiness

Sukhā saddhā patiṭṭhitā

Thai:
“Faith firmly established brings deep peace and joy.”

Much anxiety in contemporary life arises from acute uncertainty: fearing tomorrow, agonizing over status, and dreading separation. A spirit devoid of a spiritual anchor resembles an unmoored vessel tossed upon stormy tides. For one possessing grounded faith, however, the heart enjoys a safe sanctuary. Understanding that phenomena arise according to natural causal laws, panic dissolves into quiet fortitude. Unshakeable trust in Dhamma turns fear into pure, tranquil joy.

Genuine Happiness

Natathi sanatiparṃ sukhṃ

Thai:
“There is no happiness higher than inner peace.”

In a frantic, consumer-driven world, inner serenity is our true sanctuary. When craving ceases, the heart rests in self-sufficient fulfillment.

Genuine Happiness

Nibabānṃ paramṃ sukhṃ

Thai:
“Nibbāna is the supreme bliss.”

Nibbānic bliss is not sensory ecstasy but the bliss of unburdened release. Whenever greed or anger momentarily dissolves, we taste its peace.

Genuine Happiness

Sukhā matateyayatā loke sukhā petateyayatā tathā

“Devotion and caring for one's mother brings joy in this world; devotion to one's father likewise brings great blessing.”

Filial devotion forms the taproot of genuine humanity. Caring tenderly for parents nourishes a legacy of enduring blessings.

Genuine Happiness

Dhamamo sucarito sukhāvaho

Thai:
“Dhamma well practiced brings true and lasting happiness.”

Lived virtue creates innate joy. When conduct is upright and compassionate, happiness arises effortlessly from within.
